چکیده
Steerable directional antennas are increasingly utilised to improve the overall performance of traditional wireless sensor networks. antenna based networking solutions increase network capacity by providing a longer range transmission and reduced interference as compared with omni-directional antennas. However, use smart requires complex algorithms such may not be easily leveraged in low power Internet Things (IoT) This study presents mechanisms for integrating complexity into IETF 6TiSCH protocol aim creating scalable reliable industrial IoT The solution defines extensions MAC layer scheduling enable its seamless integration steerable results this show that enabled stack outperforms legacy terms data delivery especially high density scenarios.

Wireless Networks: Improving Performance Using Smart Antennas
In the past, from a signal processing perspective, most wireless networks have been Single Input and Single Output (SISO), with the sequential nature of SISO signal processing serving as a bottleneck that limits performance. However, processing multiple signals simultaneously through smart antennas could lead to substantial performance improvement. Using this new approach, researchers are explo...
متن کاملHYREP: A Hybrid Low-Power Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks
In this paper, a new hybrid routing protocol is presented for low power Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The new system uses an integrated piezoelectric energy harvester to increase the network lifetime. Power dissipation is one of the most important factors affecting lifetime of a WSN. An innovative cluster head selection technique using Cuckoo optimization algorithm has been used in the desig...
متن کاملLayer 2 Path Selection Protocol for Wireless Mesh Networks with Smart Antennas
In this thesis the possibilities of smart antenna systems in wireless mesh networks are examined. With respect to the individual smart antenna tradeoffs, a routing protocol (Modified HWMP, MHWMP) for IEEE 802.11s mesh networks is presented, that exploits the full range of benefits provided by smart antennas: MHWMP actively switches between the PHY-layer transmission/reception modes (multiplexin...
متن کاملAn SDMA-based MAC protocol for wireless ad hoc networks with smart antennas
A wireless ad hoc network consists of a set of wireless devices. The wireless devices are capable of communicating with each other without the assistance of base stations. Space Division Multiple Access (SDMA) is a new technology designed to optimize the performance of current and future mobile communication systems. In this paper, an SDMA-based MAC protocol (S-MAC) for wireless ad hoc networks...
